Nice atmosphere, many specialty shops with a mix of unique vendors. The historic buildings are gorgeous. Many restaurants to choose from. Visited late afternoon on a brisk Sunday, room to stroll and no crowd.

Wonderful place and you need to Charlottesville from what I can see. A lot of people walking, checking out shops, and eating at multiple restaurants. The accommodations for outdoor dining was nice to see.

This is one of the prettiest small areas I've walked through! I love all of the beautifully decorated outdoor dining, seating and artwork. The landscaping and plants are beautiful! This is a very nice place to walk around and explore! Lots of cute shops as well!

Live music, CVS Pharmacy, free WiFi throughout the Mall. Rapture is a great bar with club Zero late nights. Hidden Leaf is a great experience, Fridays after 5 during summer months provide a live venue for local musicians and bands The bus station under the Pavilion is free transportation anywhere in the city

One of the most European downtowns I've visited in the States. Goes far beyond the typical Main street and offers a wonderful combination of commercial and residential life with ample outdoors seating places on a beautiful pedestrian strip. The old Victorian buildings in the area complement this wonderful atmosphere from another era. As a resident, this is the nicest part of the city by far!

Visited for the first time with family and was pleasantly surprised. Many different local small business shops and restaurants to support the community. Really enjoyed the performance dancing by the local Morris Men too. Great place to see!
